During the summer in 2014 I had the assurance that I could take over the management in this – my – “homehotel”. Thus I could follow in the footsteps of my legendary grandmother, the landlady of the “Sonne”, Margret Bischofberger, who has always been an important role-model to me. We would like to continue her general principal “mear ehrod das old und grüoßod das nü” (we honor the old and welcome the new) by saying “tradition meets modern lifestyle”

Together with my husband Michael and our wonderful team, we will try to warm up your stay with bright rays of sunshine and wish you a wonderful stay with us in Mellau!

We are proud of our 40 motivated and professional “sunbeams” who will “heat up” your holiday. You will enjoy the natural kindness, even though it might not be perfect all the time. Invincible in the matter of rationality

Our “Sonnen”-resort was planned by architects from Bregenzerwald and built by 48 domestic companies from this region. They placed value on using materials from the immediate surrounding area.

Our kitchen processes a majority of regional products from regional farmers, Alpine dairies and butchers. Fresh herbs are growing at the “Sonnengarten” which is right in front of our hotel.

You will find whey-cosmetics in the bathroom of our penthouse-design rooms from the local family Metzler in Egg. These products, which are produced in close vicinity of our Sonne Lifestyle Resort, are also used at treatments at the “Wälder-Spa”.
