Bregenz Forest attracts with its curvey mountain pass roads, such as Hochtannbergpass, Flexenpass, Arlbergpass, Kleinwalsertal or Stilfserjoch. In all there are more than 50 tours. An astonishing panorama and untrafficked roads which are in perfect shape stir pationate driver’s blood. Lots of beautiful motorway service areas and restaurants on the way are a real treat. There are even more tours in Allgäu, around Lake Constance and in Switzerland which are close by, in case the tours in Bregenz Forest / Voralberg are not enough.

Hochtannbergpass
A short drive from Sonne Lifestyle Resort in Mellau into the neighboring city Au. Hochtannbergpass connects Lechtal with the valley of Bregenzerache and seperates the Alps from the mountains where the river Lech has it`s source. This route goes further into the narrow/tightening valley and uphill on a curvey street to the top of the pass and an alp on the summit which will be perfect for a break. Then you can continue towards East downhill on a curvey road with a wonderful view towards Warth.
Furkajoch
Starting point is at Sonne Lifestyle Resort in Mellau with direction to Au. Turn towards Damüls and you will go across Furkajoch (1.761m). Continue with direction Rheintal until Rankweil. In Rankweil you will follow L190 through Feldkirch, Nenzig until Bludenz. Once you drove through Bludenz you will turn right (before the Autobahn) onto the toll road Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse. Over Bieler Höhe with the Silvretta reservoir (2.036m) you will get to Galtür and Ischgl. Then you will follow the Arlberg panorama street and turn left with direction to Arlbergpass.
Follow the signs “Arlbergpass Panoramastrasse” until St. Anton (so you will not have to take any toll roads where a badge is required!). Right after the summit of Arlbergpasses (1.793m), turn right to cross Flexenpass (1.773m) and you will get to Lech and Warth. From there you can drive back to Bregenz Forest. This tour can be easily done as a one day trip.
